so today affter school was my first day of volentering at the panorama recreation center. it was so much fun. i am training to be a swimming instructer. i think it would be an awsome job for me because i love swimming and i love little kids. so anyway today was pretty cool. i helped teach three classes. the frist class was great i was teaching kids how to do front glide and back glide it was lots fun and we played some games that i remember playing when i was learning how to swim at panorma oh.. memorys.
the last two clasess were in the little pool and i was mostly playing games with the kids that tought them how to swim insted of just directly teaching them. we plyed motoerboat, klunk goes kurmit the frog, fishy in the middle and purple stew. it was awsomet. i also tought them how to do back float and front float. its funny some of the things like that, that seem so simple to us is something that you acctually have to teach but it was fun.
there was this one kid thoe who did not speak english and it was kind of hard to get him to do anything because i would tell him to go agenst the wall and he would just stare at me with a blank look so i would have to try and motion to him or show him. i am pumped right now i love working with little kids and i cannot wait untill next wednesday when i get to do it again.
it will be great if once i have all my volunteer work and training done if i could get a job teaching kids how to swim.

cool e-mail
i got this sent to me as an e-mail and it gives me alot to think about. i thought you might enjoy it
This is and interesting portrayal of space.
>>When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and the
>>2 cups of coffee. A professor stood before his philosophy class and
>>had some items in front of him. When the class began, he
>>wordlessly picked up a very large and empty mayonnaise jar and
>>proceeded to fill it with golf balls. He then asked the students
>>if the jar was full. They agreed that it was.
>>The professor then picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into
>>the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into the
>>open areas between the golf balls. He then asked the students
>>again if the jar was full. They agreed it was. >>
>>The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the
>>jar. Of course, the sand filled up everything else. He asked once
>>more if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous
>>"Yes!"
>>The professor then produced two cups of coffee from under the table
>>and poured the entire contents into the jar effectively filling the
>>empty space between the sand. The students laughed. "Now," said
>>the professor as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize
>>that this jar represents your life. The golf balls are the

>>your house and your car. The sand is everything else....the small stuff."
>> >>"If you put the sand into the jar first," he continued, "there is
>>no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same goes for life.
>> If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you
>>will never have room for the things that are important to you."
>>"Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness.
>>Play with your children. Take time to get medical checkups. Take
>>your spouse out to dinner. There will always be time to clean the

friendship
Did you ever find that sometimes you will have the dumbest arguments with your friends. It is not normaly friends that you just meet it will be your closest friends that you have known for a long time. Me and my friend Natasha have gotten into some of the dumbest arguments you can imagine. Like how to pronounce stuff. And why people act the way that they do.
There are always the friends that come and go. The ones that your not that close to. The type that will just give up on your friend ship way to easily . And then there are the friends were you might litterlay have a screaming match with and then you can come back the next day and just laught and say sorry I was an idiot. And go about your day. Thoes are the true friends that you can never let go of.
The friends wear if your having trouble they will be over as soon as they can. Or they will let you sleep over at there house. Friendship is a wonderful thing and I think that some people just give up to easily.
If you see a friend that is in trouble go and comfort him/her have a talk. I have so many great friends who I love so much and am so happy that I have them. I feel sorry for people out there who have never known what a true friend was.
One of my favorite quotes "Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.Walk beside me and be my friend.".

women vs crows
ok i have come to the conclusions that women are alot like crows. and this is how
1. you attack one of us and the rest will come affter you ( in other words do not mess with us or you might get a killer weggie. i belive my friends jesse and matt found that out)
2. we are scavangers we can find food anywere( alyssa would definatley find food. she is the best scavanger i know)
3. we like shinny things( for all you guys out there. we will like you more if you give us something shiny. like a braclet or a ring or a necklace)
4. if you touch our chicks we will rip you eyes out with are claws ( me my self not being a mother have never had that experience but i think it works for friends also. mess with one of my friends and trust me you will be sorry)
that is why us women or like crows.
have a nice day .( caaaw caaw)

the story behind my title
hey
i got an a person who asked what the deal was with my title and why i want to watch a brige burn. ok to answere that question first i have to let every know that i am a fan of phantom of the opera. i mean huge i think i am obsessed. so anyway in the movie there is a song called point of no return. and in that song there is a part were the phantom sings the bridge is crossed so stand and watch it burn. and i really liked that line so i decided to use it as my title. so i thought that a clever link title would be cross the bridge. so ya that is the story behind my name. it is not that i want to watch a bridge burn it is just that i am obsessed with a movie that has that as line in it.
keep asking me questions its fun to answere them

so i was re-reading my list of things that i want to do and i got thinking
there are lots of things to do in this world and i am sure that i am not the only one who has a list. i know that sarah has a list which i think is cool. i was wondering for all the people who are reading this. what are some of the things that you really want to do through out your life. even if it is something that is most likley never going to happen. like and for me i put meet all the living members of led zeppelin(i am a huge led zeppelin fan for anyone who did not know. i blame my dad he was the one who introduced them to me. but that can be a different blog entrie). i truly belive that it is good to have a list of things that you want to do because even if you do not compleate it. your still seeting goals for your self. and if school has tought me anything it is that it is good to have goals in your life.
so share your list or if you do not have a list just let me know some of the cool or random things that you want to do.

worn out
saturday and sunday i have been taking training at the panorama recreation center. so that i can be a swimming instructor. i was there for eight hours both days from nine to five. i am very worn out. some people reading this might be thinking oh how worn out can training make you. well i will tell you it made be really worn out. ok this is what we have done in the class room.
-make posters
-go over the history of the red crose
-go over the different typis of swimming stroks you can do
-go over the different types of learning
and more
that was not the tiering part. the part that has worn me out this weekend and soon to have me out next weekend is the swiming. i am normaly a strong swimmer but hey i still get tired this is what we did:
-20 laps of the pool non stop
-two laps of front crawl
-two laps of back crawl
-two laps of side stroke
-two lapes of brest stroke
-one lape of egg beter(that is when you tread water but without your hands so you end up going back wards)
-tread water for 3 minutes
-all the different steps for teaching each one of thoes stroks
- act like we were little kids and the instructors showed us how to teach little kids.
-and much more that would take me for ever to list.
any way i am pooped and all that i can say right now is thank god that i get to rest and hoory for my dad buying a hot tube because it is the best thing ever right now.

lights go out
ok last night around nine the power went out at my house. it was very crepy for me becuse i live in a area were there are no street lights and it goes compleatly dark. keep in mind that i am also a chicken and get scard very easaly. normaly when i get scared i will turn to my older brother we do not even have to be talking we can just sit in the same room and i feel better. but hey guess what older brother was not home. infact he is all the way in ausralia and will not be back for six months. so the thought that came to me.
i could just watch movies and tv shows on my ipod up in my room so i am destracted and not getting scard or being a chicken. but guess what the battery is low and does not have enought power to let me do that. so i am sitting in my room sort of creped out then i look over and i see that my bible is sitting on my night stand. i pick it up and start to read it. it is great my fear was gone. and i felt like i was back in old times reading the bible by candle light. it was really cool. i managed to fall asleep no longer being creeped out.
